May 2024 - AZPOA Endorses Thomas Galvin for the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors District 2.
April 2021 - AZPOA Initiated and helped push legislation with the passing of SB1396. This law increases the amount a surviving spouse/child receives from a member’s pension to 4/5ths as if the member had been retired on the date of death instead of 40%.
March 2016 - Reverse Drop/Partial Lump Sum Disbursement approved by Governor
November 2015 - Juvenile detention officers awarded badges
September 2015 - Kevin Sheridan elected to CLEAA Vice Chairman position and Rebekah Trexler is re-elected to the Secretarial position for two years
February 2015 - Search and Seizure legislation fails to get approved for the second time keeping search and seizure for probationers exclusive to probation officers
January 2015 - AZPOA approves first ever “budget” for 2015. Bi-monthly meetings are established with adult probation administration
September 2014 - CLEAA offers $5,000 scholarship opportunity in partnership with The 100 Club of Arizona
August 2014 - Verizon benefit began
November 2013 - Liberty Mutual insurance benefit began
March 2013 - AZPOA office opened at I-17 and Northern area
January 2013 - AZPOA and CLEAA join APA
December 2012 - Shop With A Cop partnership with PLEA
May 2012 - AZPOA board member is elected to CLEAA Board (Rebekah Trexler as Secretary)

April 2011 - Wills for Heroes partnership began
October 2010 - AZPOA votes to contribute $25,000 (in increments) to the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund. Museum plans to open in 2018
May 2009 - AZPOA members participated in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life
October 2008 - Ten year celebration banquet held and first two AZPOA college scholarships awarded
May 2008 - Governor signs House Bill 2117 providing long term disability for CORP members
July 2007 - CORP started as retirement system for badged probation staff (Twenty year retirement)
June 2006 - Governor Napolitano signs Senate Bill 1142 giving officers 20/25 year retirement
June 2005 - John Stair appointment by Attorney General Terry Goddard to Arizona Peace Officer’s Memorial Board
May 2005 - AZPOA hosts a second state-wide summit of probation association leaders
April 2005 - AZPOA members join the community with Habitat for Humanity building a home for a mother and seven children from Sudan
April 2004 - AZPOA hosts a state-wide summit of probation association leaders from Cochise, Maricopa, Pima, Yavapai, and La Paz counties
June 2003 - First Duty Weapons distributed
